Hello!
My name is Matt. I'm from Poland and I'm 28.
I discovered my talent of drawing, when I was in kindergarden. I noticed I drew the best of all kids, mostly Pokemon stuff. Yeah, the first generation of Pokemon. Lots of kids wanted me to drew for them Ash, Pikachu or other pokemon. When I was at school, I hid my talent from others. I had my reasons...
I've never attended art school, so I don't have any art certificate, diploma or something related, but I graduated from university with specialization of computer graphics. Nobody teached me how to draw. I guess I can draw everything if I want. My usual style is comic's style, but sometimes I try to use digital brushes and paint something in more realistic style.
Besides drawing, I do cycling. I have a mountain-trekking bike and ride on it for long trips from 80 to 150 km. I love nature, animals, countryside. I also love rollerblading and long walking (20-40 km) and reading books!
My nick in Minecraft is MatiZ1994
The server on which I played for 1.5 years was closed. So I don't play Minecraft for a long time.

I draw on the tablet Wacom Bamboo Fun. You can see my previous drawings (winter 2012), when I used the scanner.

Hello
Hello there! I saw your SGI like drawings of DK and saw the process imag. I want to attempt this method for my Kirby character since I’m a huge fan of the DKC games to begin with. XD I was wondering if you could give some tips on this since it’s my first time. I sincerely apologize if this comes of in a wrong way.
Have a good day/night!
Hello! Sorry for my late reply! Here are my tips:
- google some old renders for inspiration. Pay attention for the colors. They look kinda off. Renders from Super Mario 64 looks pretty cool.
- sketch the Kirby on a separated layer, then do the rest on new layer over the sketch's layer.
- make sure the resolution is big, like 6000px. You can resize it when you finish.
- use a pencil to color Kirby like in the second image of our banana slamma boi.
- Kirby is a round character so just use an airbrush to make soft shadows on his face, arms and legs, like this sphere: https://blenderartists.org/uploads/default/original/4X/2/b/a/2baa2041838b03a71921debabcc8584b2bc4cb49.jpeg
- I noticed that all casting shadows in old renders are hard, so use a pencil. Look at this beautiful Italian plumber: https://www.pngitem.com/pimgs/m/538-5380571_super-mario-64-cannon-ball-png-super-mario.png
His cap cast a hard shadow on his forehead. There are also hard shadows under his chin, and wings.
That's all tips I had in my mind. Hope this will help you!
Thank you sir! I’ll take these in mind!
